Hello,

I have a very long multi-step LabTalk script that takes several minutes to execute. Sometimes (most of the time in fact) Origin "freezes" half-way through the script execution but unfreezes after the script is finished (no erorrs are generated though). Sometimes the script runs without freezing with the same data set. My problem is that I want the user to be informed on the progress of the script, and I do so by messages in the status bar as well as with a progress bar window. Both the status and progress bar would dissappear when Origin chooses to freeze. How can I fix this? It just looks ugly when the program is non-responsive. I don't remember this problem in Versions 6 and 7.5.

Origin Ver. 8.5.1 Pro and Service Release 2
Operating System: Windows 7 and Windows XP

Thanks a lot,
mikhail

It may be caused by single threading in Origin.

Thanks for your reporting the problem.

I have reported your problem in our bug tracking database: ID ORG-3948. We will improve the Progress Bars in the future.
