Thanks, it works perfectly.

And thanks for the tip on how to find the Menu ID for a button or menu item. I figured out that when you said Script Window, you really did mean the Script Window, and not the Command Window, which has essentially replaced the Script Window in the latest releases. I had not used the Script Window for so long that I had forgotten how to open it; but, I eventually figured it out (select "Windows/Script Window" pull down menu). Again, thanks for the great tip. I think I will be making good use of it.

You can try the following:

work -s c1 r1 c2 r2; // replace c1 and c2 with col indexes, r1 and r2 with row indexes
menu -e 35045;

PS: if you want to run a given menu or button that is not available with Labtalk, execute it with mouse when holding shift and ctrl keys pressed. The menu id will print in script window, like:
Menu id=35045

You can then run it with script with menu -e id command
