Hi:
I have a couple of questions regarding the layer.axis object. I am using Origin 6.0 Professional. I have a graph with numeric values for the y-axis and date values for the x-axis. I wish to change the first and last axis scale values. When I type:
 layer.x.from="3/1/2001 12:00"

The graph starts at "--"
Is there a way to change this?
If I manually set the graph start to 3/1/2001 and type in the script window
 layer.x.from=

I see:
 LAYER.X.FROM=2451969

What is the formula Origin uses to come up with this number?
Thanks very much for the help.

Dates are stored as Julian days internally, so that is what you need to use. LabTalk has the data function, so you can do

layer.x.from=date(3/1/2001 12:00)
