Hi,

just a quick question: Is it possible to prevent editing a worksheet by script (or in general inside Origin)?. I do not want anyone to fiddle with the data in my wks.

Regards,
B. Przybyla

Disable editing will only prevent user keyboard edit of cells. They will still be able to modify the values using LabTalk. To fully protect worksheet modification, you need to use Workbook Protection features introduced in Origin 9.1.

See https://originlab.jira.com/wiki/display/main/Workbook+Protection

Hi,

1). Select the cells you want to protect, right click and select Format Cells... .
2). Check Disable Editing checkbox.
3). OK to apply.
