win -c wksname;

...will delete a worksheet in any version of Origin, but it doesn't delete the columns. (The datasets wksname_A, wksname_B, etc. will remain.)

In Origin 6.1 or 7 the command
win -cd wksname;

will delete worksheet and its columns. In Origin 5 and 6 you need to delete the columns separately...

win -a wksname; // activate the worksheet
repeat wks.ncols {del col(1)}; // delete all columns
win -c %H; // delete worksheet
