Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System:8.1

I'm getting tired to manually set the line color, legend font, etc. Any suggestion to do the batch processing of the multilayer graphs?
Thank You very much

Hi,

It it possible to do batch plotting in Origin version 91 and 2015.
After you create a plot, you can right click on the graph window and select Duplicate(Batch Plotting), then you can specify another worksheet or workbook with similar data structure. Please see this page for more detail:
http://www.originlab.com/doc/Origin-Help/Graphing-Batch-Plotting

Please note that Batch processing is very versatile than you can duplicate plots that have data in same or different sheets of the same workbook. In the case of dataset in different worksheet, for example, you have layer1 originates from Dataset1 in sheet1 book1, layer2 originates from Dataset2 in sheet2 book1. Using the batching plotting feature, you can duplicate the plots using book2 that has the same data structure with book1.

I am not sure what version you are using. But if your Origin version is lower than 91, you can only use graph template to do this. However, it can only applicable for the case that all dataset in same worksheet. For example, Layer1 originates from column A and B sheet1, and Layer2 originates from column C and D sheet1. You can refer to this video to see how to create a graph using graph template: http://www.originlab.com/index.aspx?go=Products/Origin/Graphing/MultiPanelMultiLayer&ss=chm&pid=1549

Thank you very much for the reply, my origin version is 8. So I can't use this new feature of origin.
However, the graph template is enough to solve my problem. Thank you again!
