Hello all,

I am trying to create an automated application in origin which retrives data from an online database into different worksheets and plots certain Graphs according to the user needs.

So far, I have been plotting graph with an example offline MS Access database as practise and plotting works perfectly. Now, the main Task is to connect the origin to the actual database. I am trying with the MYSQL Connector odbc but I lost on how to proceed?

Is it possible to connect an online database with Origin?

Thanks in advance guys!

Hello Hideo,

I have tried those X-functions and it worked perfectly with offline database like MS Access. What confused was this Screen..

Can I have a tutorial or link somewhere as to which Option means what? and how I can choose which Option for my database?

Sorry, I am just very new to this Topic. May be it is a very dumb question.

Hi Akki,

> Is it possible to connect an online database with Origin?

You can use the x-functions described in the following reference:
