Origin Ver. 9.3.2.303 and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System:win OS10

Is there a way to control the position of the Notches in the Boxplot.
The Notch is by default around the median (I guess it is the 95% confidence interval).
But I would like to change the notch to the 95% confidence inveral around the mean. Is there a way to do this?

Dear Yuki,

thank you, I was not aware that this is such a firm definition and yes this makes sense then to leave it like that.
Best regards
Frank

Hi,

Notched Box is a a useful variation of the box-and-whisker chart. It can be known from its definition: Notches on the box represent the confidence interval about the median value (just see the page below).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Box_plot

Origin creates the notch box chart based on its well-known definition, so that I don't think we can change the notch to be around the mean.

Regards,
Yuki
