I recently upgraded to Origin 7.0 from 5.0, but my scripts no longer run from the custom routine button. I have followed a similar procedure as with version 5.0 (used new versions of CUSTOM.OGS and SCRIPT.OGO, changed setuserscripts.ogs file, and placed properly named scripts in correct file locations as described in the script_tool document). However nothing shows up when I hit the custom routine button. Has the procedure been changed from the way it was done previously?

Thanks.

I think I remember now what you're talking about. It's an Origin 5.0 add-on called the Origin Script Tool which uses a floating UIM dialog. Those haven't been supported since Origin 6.0, so it won't work in Origin 7. However, there is a version of the Script Tool for Origin 7 that you can download free from OriginLab's File Exchange.

I'm not familiar with the procedure you described, but if you open Custom.ogs in Notepad or CodeBuilder and replace whatever is in the [Main] section with your own scripts then they will run when you click the custom routine button. That's the method I've used since Origin 5 and it still works in Origin 7.
