I would like to open an Excel file in Origin with Labtalk.

I've try the "Open" commande (open -we XLS4 Filename), but it doesn't work. This error appairs: "An error [10] has occurred during import of this file!"

I use Origin relase 7.
I work with Excel 2000, so can I use "XLS4"?
The file is in the origin directory (C:\program file\OriginLab\origin7client) is it right?

Thank a lot.

In Origin 4.1 and earlier, there was a File:Import:Excel (XLS) menu. You could open Excel v4.0 XLS files, Excel v3.x XLS files, etc.

With the release of Origin 5, there was no longer a File:Import menu, but instead we added the ability to work with Excel workbooks directly in Origin. The File:Open Excel menu was added.

In Origin 7, select Ctrl+Shift+File:Open Excel. Instead of executing the menu it will open the associated script file into CodeBuilder. (You can hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys with most menus to view the associated script.)

In the [OpenExcel] section of the file, you will see that the doc -a command is used.
