Hi,

am trying to do a colstats on multiple columns. I used colstats x:x+n but the outcome is incorrect. the problem as turns is that colstats does the following;
performs statistics on column X then it performs statistics on X,X+1 as if they are one data set. This was clear by from the values i got and from the doubling of N
any ideas?
Thanks

Hello,

I emailed the oxf to you. Please check.

For your information, this issue is jiraed in our system https://originlab.jira.com/browse/ORG-16490 for future fix.
Sorry that you don't have access to the jira though.

Thanks, Snow

Hello,

Sorry that this seems a bug introduced in Origin 2017.

Do you have Origin 2016. If so, you can drag the the colstats.oxf file from Origin program folder's X-Functions\Statistics\Descriptive Statistics\. Drag and drop it into the running Origin 2017.

Choose Yes. It will not really replace the shipped oxf file. It actually puts this one to your User Files folders\X-Functions\Statistics\Descriptive Statistics
Then the colstats x:x+n will work.

If you don't have it, let me know. I will email you one.

Sorry for the inconvenience this caused.

Thanks, Snow
