Hello Fellow Origin users!
I have a contour plot on my screen. What I'm trying to do, (trying being the key work, i'm not having much success) is to put vertical or horizontal lines at a specific place on the screen.

For example.
*A prompt to the operator of the script: (Enter X position 1)
-User enters: -1
*promts: Enter X position 2
-user enters: 1
*prompt: (Enter Y position 1)
-User enters: -1
*promts: Enter Y position 2
-user enters: 1

Then the script would insert 4 lines, that form a box that passes at x=-1..1 and y passes at y=-1..1..sort of a TicTacToe looking setup.

If anyone can help me a little bit with this problem, or at least point me int he right directon, I'd appreciate it!

Thanks very much in advance,
Luc S.

Hi Luc,

draw -n vert1 -l -v -1; // create or redraw vertical line at x=-1
draw -n vert2 -l -v 1; // create or redraw vertical line at x=1
draw -n horiz1 -l -h -1; // create or redraw horizontal line at y=-1
draw -n horiz2 -l -h 1; // create or redraw horizontal line at y=1

...You can also set the line pattern and color on the draw command line. Alternatively, you can use the object properties.

vert1.color=1; // black line
vert2.color=2; // red line
horiz1.color=3; // green line
horiz2.color=4; // blue line

If it helps anyone, i've already know how to prompt the user for the requierd numbers.
The only part I need to know is how to manipulate the lines.

Thanks,
-Luc
