Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 7.5G SR3
Operating System: WinXP

Using a script, I produce 4 contour plots from ASCII data. For plotting I use a graph template with fixed x-y Dimensions and predefined color scale -z_value ... +z_value. For the last contour plot I'd like to rescale the color scale (0 ... + z_value) but not to touch the x-y- scales (e.g. no "lay -a"). Any hints? Thank you!

bye
Rolf

Hi Rolf,

There is better control to contour color map from Origin C. So you may want to use Origin C code, or at least write some OC function to set the levels, which you could then call from LabTalk.

See this post for details:

Hello Mike,

thanks for your fast response. Unfortunately this doesn't work for contour plots. It works perfectly with "normal" 3D plots.
Is there another way to tell Origin the range and the number of colorplanes (or the divisions respectively) I want to set?

Thanks, Rolf

Hi Rolf,

layer.x.rescale=1; // manual
layer.y.rescale=1; // manual
layer.z.rescale=2; // normal
lay -a;
