Origin Version (7.5 pro):
Operating System: XP proffesional

I would like to create a program that would be able to restrict the dataset, and then use Gaussian fitting on them,
BUT
i have no idea how to do it
could anyone help me out please?

There is a sample project that illustrates programmed fitting in OriginC...

Samples\Programming\Gaussian Fit.opj

That code does not restrict the dataset range but you can add the following for that...

NLSF.dataBegin = start of data range;
NLSF.dataEnd = end of data range;
