Posted - 10/23/2018 : 11:02:59 AM Hi,
Can I retrieve and set the bounds for peak fitting parameters in Labtalk?
For background, I need to batch fit some data (diffraction patterns), where each successive pattern is the evolution in time of some process. The signal is noisy, so I occasionally get incoherent fits. The idea is to fit one pattern (n) that's less prone to errors and then bound the fitting parameters of the next pattern (n+1) around the fitting parameters of n, then bound n+2 around n+1 etc.
I'm running OriginPro 2016 Sr2
Cheers! |

Posted - 11/02/2018 : 10:41:50 AM Hi Yuki_Wu,
Thanks for your reply. Actually I need to fit multiple (overlapping) peaks, so nlfit is not suitable. I normally run the Peak Analyser to fit multiple peaks, but using paMultiY I can't find info on how to get fit parameters (e.g. bounds) after each fit, or set parameters (e.g. bounds) before the next fit. Any help appreciated!

Posted - 10/23/2018 : 11:28:03 PM Hi,
You could use nltree variable to control parameter values when you perform fitting by nlbegin X-Function. Please go through these pages for more info: https://www.originlab.com/doc/LabTalk/Tutorials/Tutorial-Curve-Fitting-and-Batch-Processing-with-LT https://www.originlab.com/doc/X-Function/ref/nlbegin
