Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 7.5Pro
Operating System:200 Pro

With our instrument, DAQ board data gets saved to a file with a defined filename as well as exported to the origin.
http://www.originlab.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4752 is a previous post containing screenshot of similar vi to our situation.

however, data that gets exported to the origin does not contain any labels, just numbers.

Is it possible to somehow convert filename string control in labview (where i define a filename) to something that below origin script would recognise so i can use the script to define column labels?

%b=abc; // name
wks.col$( wks.ncols ).label$ = %b; // assign name to column label
wks.labels(); // turn on display of label

and if not, is there any other way of using that filename string to define column labels?
Cheers

Darko

Hi Darko,

You could use the OASetLTStr to set the value of a LabTalk string var to your file name, and then use OAExecute to send a group of script commands to Origin, such as in the diagram below.
