Right now I'm using the following to let users choose a file.

type -b "Choose data file.";
getfile *.dat;

Is there anything I could use instead that would bring up just a file chooser window with the title being "Choose data file."?

Thanks,

bg

Hi bg,

LabTalk's Fdlog object has many more options than the getfile command. For example...

fdlog.DlgName$="My Title"; // Dialog title
fdlog.UseGroup(ASCII);
fdlog.UseType(DAT);
fdlog.Path$=%Y;
if( fdlog.open(A) ) return;
%B=fdlog.path$; // file path (%A=file name)
win -t D; // open default wks template
open -w %B%A; // import file
