Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 8 service pack 2.
Operating System: xp

Hi, since installing SP 2 for Origin 8.
The
work -b winname;
command no longer works.

Even if I start origin into a new blank project, open the script window and type the above command it simply opens a new worksheet called book2 (and then book3, etc etc), regardless of my preferred window name.

Is anyone else having this problem? If not can anyone tell me why this is happening?

thanks Andrew

I tried in Origin 7.5 and also it didnt work there, so looks like this was broken for a while. We can fix this for SR3, tracker number 11827 will be used to keep track of the fixes.

Since SR3 will be out shortly (end of July), so if you can report other LabTalk broken commands, we can try to fix them as well for this new service release.

Hi Larry, I figured as much, Its not a problem as such I can create the new worksheet and then simple straight away rename it. Its just I have old programs that use this command.

thanks Andrew

PS: I have a greater problem with my manipulating datasets problem on this forum. which I have also had to work around.

Hi:

Looks like it doesn't work like the description of LabTalk Help document. Could you please tell us what you actually want, then we can see whether is a workaround.

Thanks
Larry
