Origin Ver. 8 and Service Release 4 (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System: win XP

Hello, I believe there is a bug with the notes windows
for example
I can create a notes window called 'resultwin' and check for it.

win -n n resultwin;
exist(resultwin)=;

returns:

EXIST(RESULTWIN)=9

now if I run the notes windows activate command

win -an resultwin;

it returns a

#Command Error!

eg from a brand new project:

win -n n resultwin;
exist(resultwin)=;
win -an resultwin;

returns:

EXIST(RESULTWIN)=9
#Command Error!

in-fact running the 'win -an resultwin' command causes the 'resultwin' notes window to be hidden as the window disappears but exist(resultwin) still returns '9'.

This leaves me no way of unhiding the hidden 'resultwin' notes window.

I can delete it whilst it is hidden and then recreate it fine.

just found out that running
win -zn resultwin;
causes the notes window to disappear also but does not cause a '#Command Error!'. However running that command a second time on the hidden notes window does produce the '#Command Error!'

thanks Andrew

Hi, Andrew

The problem has already fixed in our SR6. You can check for update and try. (Selecting Help; Check for Update in Origin).
