How can i ask the computer to assess the last few letters of a filename? E.g. selecting only the 'dark' measurements "if(page.name$ == ****dark)"

regards,
Boudewijn

Hi Boudewijn,

There is the String object for handling a string in LabTalk. For your issue, you can try the following script.

string strName$ = page.name$;
string strPart$ = strName.Right(4)$;
if(strPart$ == dark)
{
//your script here
}
