Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): Origin8.5.1G Alpha2
Operating System: WinXP SP3, notebook: Dell D630, Centrino Duo 1.8GHz

Hi,

I have a question to the Origin programmers. Following loop shows worse performance of Origin8.5.1 compared to Origin7.5 on the same WinXP operating system. The benchmark requires a worksheet Data1 with row numbers 1 to 80 in the second column.

sec;
K=0;
Loop(j,1,20000)
{
K+=1;
col(2)+=1;
};
K=;
sec -e time;
type (Elapsed time = $(time) sec.);

Origin7.5: Elapsed time = 0.968 sec.
Origin8.5.1 : Elapsed time = 1.531 sec.
which is 58% slower. Any explanation for it?

Best regards

Thomas, NXP Semiconductors GA GmbH, Hamburg, Germany
