Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): Originpro 8.5.1
Operating System: Windows 7 x64
Is it possible to do any azimuthal analysis such as azimuthal intensity average or integration on some special images by setting/pre-setting the center, the inner and outer radii, the bin number, the starting and end angles?
At this moment, I could use imageJ to get the intensity vs. azimuthal angle data, and then further analysis these data by originpro. As the new version of originpro starts to support analysis on images, I just wonder if I could directly use Originpro with the help of labtalk scripts or OriginC to handle these images.

Thanks for you reply. It sounds very positive. Is it possible to set the ROI manually by inputing the exact center, inner and outer radii, i.e. only the region between the two circles will be calculated? Attached please find two images, the first is the image to be processed, the ROI is set by the two circles; the second is the result got from the first image

We can show you some Origin C code, or put into an X-Function so it will appear on the menu.
But first, you might want to know how to crop and extract a region from an image, by using the ROI tool. The Origin C code or X-Function code must work with the entire image, so you need to manually extract out the region of interests.
