Hi, all,

I got a problem with matrix normalization by using OriginPro.8.6. I used the script in the command window like:

"range rm=<active>;
sum(rm);
rm -= sum.min;
rm /= (sum.max - sum.min);"

But nothing happened. My matrix stayed the same. Could you please help me with this problem? I tried the command window, it works, but I don't know why it doesn't work for my script.

Many thanks.

Thank you so much!!
The "D" unlock method fix the problem.

Hi guangde,

There might be several cases that you see "nothing" change.

1. Would you check what are the values for sum.max and sum.min?

If sum.max=1 and sum.min=0, the values will not change after your script.

2. Would you check the icon on the top-right corner?

It can have 3 kinds of images: D, I, and a lock icon.

D means it is a data matrix.

I means it is a image matrix, which data can not change.

Lock means it data can NOT be changed.

If it is a clock icon, you can single click on it to see fly-out menu.

Select "Recalculate Mode:None", and then you are able to change its data.
