I recently upgraded origin 5 to origin 7 and I am trying to transfer my labtalk scripts to Origin C. I was wondering if Origin C had a function which outputs a box to collect user input. In other words, a function that does the same thing as getnum in labtalk. currently to get user input, I am getting the user to input values into a dataset(column) and using 'Dataset Name(WkshtName,1)' in Origin C to access the values.

thanks

Hi,

Currently, you can get one string of user input at a time in Origin C using:
string strName = InputBox("Prompt/message:");
This will bring up a box and wait for user input.

Multiple variable inputs is not currently supported. For that you could use LabTalk code within your OC function, to bring up a GetN dialog, and then get the variable values into Origin C.
