Hello everyone, Is there a way how to replace the indices of the GraphLayers by words ("1" => "MyLayer #1", "2" => "SunnyDay", etc.)?
I would like to know how to do this manually in Origin and in Origin C, too. Many thanks for your help in advance. |

Posted - 03/29/2017 : 3:48:58 PM how about we allow those boxes to be customizable in page level so you can specify to use 1,2,3,4 characters so longer layer names will be truncated.

Posted - 03/28/2017 : 10:19:56 AM The tooltip is a quick fix indeed but the text would be much better - self-explaining and clear at first sight. In my experience, if the numbers are there (even several, not just 1-2) one may miss it out completely or may not be interested at all to find out what is hiding there. Thanks! |

Posted - 03/28/2017 : 04:02:01 AM Hello Yuki, Many thanks for you reply and interest. Yes, this is what I mean. It would simplify many things (apps) - instead of plotting 3 different charts, I could plot one with 3 layers and then use "Show active layer only". But it would be great if the layers had self-explanatory names so that users could see what is inside... All the best. |

Posted - 03/28/2017 : 01:39:58 AM Hi,
Do you mean you want to show the names of layers instead of the numbers in the upper left corner?
I am afraid that we do not support this requirement at present. However, I will forward your message to our weekly share meeting and see what we can do to improve it.
