Hi,

Not strictly an Origin C question but I'd appreciate some help.
I want to do my own (C++?) app to compare code files (eg listing, matching & comparing functions). I can work on plain text files but I would like to consider colour coding. Where should I think of going? A programmable text editor, VB app?

Thanks for any suggestions,

Cheers,

Pete

Thanks Easwar,

I'll look at these. One thing I may (need / want to) do is write an app to sort - blocks of code - sections (.ogs), functions (.c), definitions (.cnf) etc into the same order - based on the primary file. This does seem to be something analagous to the add-ins/converters with compare-it...so looks promising.

Cheers,

Pete

Hi Mike and Pete,

There may be many freeware/shareware apps available such as:

Hi Pete,

No suggestions, but if you get the app working please post it on the File Exchange. I've also been looking for a good way to compare code files, especially versions of the same file.
