Hi all,

Any advice would be helpful...appreciating it may not not be an Origin specific issue (I think I have seen this with Excel too).

Connecting to a database via
 ocrs = CreateObject("ADODB.Recordset")

can be a bit tempermental partcularly, I think, when working over a slower connection.

The code is correct but sometimes it connects and sometimes it doesn't. Using the same SQL statement with another software eg TOAD always works ie the connection is more reliable here.

Any ideas / suggestions?

Thanks,

Cheers,

pete
