Hi,
I am trying to get familiar with the DialogBuilder and built a test application using the Origin Dialog Application Wizard and Visual C++ V6.0 in order to create the resources. I tried to make a Wizard Dialog.

I always run into the same kind of trouble when I include a sizeable graph window into the resource. The problem is this: Neither the dimensions of the graph window nor that of the other frames or sizeable objects are set to their previous values when my test application is closed and restarted again. Only the size and position of the main dialog window is set properly.

The example of the Peak Finder Module (PFM) however, which was also built with the DialogBuilder, demonstrates, that this problem is - in princible - solvable: If the PFM window was changed, the graph window inside changes its size accordingly. After restart of the PFM dialog all windows and objects dimensions are set to their previous values.

It is not clear to me whether this should normally work automatically or whether and how??? the developer of an application has to care about it.

In the last months I brought up several times problems with DialogBuilder in this forum, so far with only little response from the ORIGIN people.

I would appreciate very much any help or comprehensive tutorial information from the ORIGIN people, as the use of DialogBuilder is really far away from being self-explanatory and many other Origin users could certainly also benefit from this.

THANKS!

Stefan
