Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System:Win 10

I have a ".dat" file that I need to import in the Origin. But the first 25 lines of the files are needed. And the data starts after the 25th line. So How to ignore the first few lines while importing?

You posted on Origin C forum, so you want to do this with programming?
Typically dat file you drag and drop to a worksheet and Origin will automatically detect where data begin, assuming you have a recent version that has CSV Data Connector which can auto detect file headers.
