Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 7.5 SR6
Operating System: Vista

Hi,

GetN Macros dialog don't work with a vista client. Simply using the example 'UsingGetNmacros' with a vista client (connected to Windows 2003 server) Origin crashes (prompted to close or debug) when the OK button is clicked. Dialog is displayed correctly and selections can be made. If cancel button is clicked then dialog closes as expected.

Vista standalone and Windows 2000 client connected to same server work fine.

(Debug message is :
Unhandled exception at 0x13008c70 in origin75.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x000000b3.
)

Help!

Thanks,

Cheers,

pete

Hi Pete,

I runned UsingGetNMacros function in both Origin 75 SR6 and Origin 80 on vista client (connected to Windows 2003 server), both works fine, click Cancel or OK button, there is not any problem. Any way, better not run Origin7.5 on vista since vista is a new OS but 7.5 is an old version.
You can down load a Origin 80 demo to try:
