Origin Ver. 8.1SR2 and many before
Operating System: Windows XP

When using Code Builder and pressing Ctrl+F for finding text during debug mode Origin becomes incredible slow or have to be closed using the windows task manager. It would be nice to use text search while debugging as well.

Can you reproduce this problem?

Find and Find in Files both work in debug mode in Origin 8.1SR3.

Use Help : Check for Updates or get the patch here:

Hi Michael,

Turning on @DMB to be 1 will not be easy to trigger any visible problems I suppose.

And we will make Ctrl+F work even @DMB=0 in the coming 81SR3, see tracker #15236.

Thank you for reply.

What could be the next problem I'm running into when I modify that system variable?

Hi Michael,

In fact we intendedly introduce this behavior due to correct another certain debug problem.

We will check how to improve it.

For now you can modify a system variable (change @DMB to be 1, current default is 0) to get through this problem.
