Hello,
I am doing analysis of my spectroscopic data that has 2 peaks.
I found out the peak areas using Analysis->Spectroscopy->Integrate Multiple Peaks. My data always have 2 peaks and Origin provides the results in "Integration Report1" in book one as:
Peaks Area
1 Area of Peak 1
2 Area of Peak 2
I just need these two values to be fed back to my original file corresponding to the column values.
Can anyone help me in creating a program that will automatically do the peak area calculation in all the columns of the spreadsheet and put them on top of each corresponding column.
Looking forward to ur response.

Hi Penn,Bobmorton and Rpsaha,
I have almost similar problem.
I tried using the integPeaks_X function however, but it is not possible to define the integration ranges.
Also how to automate the process so that once I define the integration ranges, it automatically calculates the peak integration and returns data in each corresponding column?
Would be very kind of you to help.
Kind regards,
Fariah

Hi,

Maybe you can do it by following the instructions below.

1. Do multiple fitting on all columns to generate a report sheet. Reference: Peaks and Baseline, Fit Multiple XY Data in a loop, Fit Multiple Peaks, NLFitSession class.
2. Access the report sheet to get the areas of peaks. Reference: Accessing Report Sheet Tree.
3. Put the areas to the cells you want. Reference: Worksheet class, Column class, Column::GetDataObject.

Or you can do the 1st step by the using the menu to generate a report sheet, and then start from step 2.

By the way, you can upgrade to Origin 8 SR6 from this page freely.

Hope it help.

Penn
