Origin also has a scripting language for controlling the software, which can be extended using a built-in C/C++-based compiled language (Origin C).
OriginPro 8, adds additional data analysis features like surface fitting, short-time Fourier Transform, and more advanced statistics.

OriginPro has all of the features of Origin and it has this additional analysis and development tools. OriginPro's Dialog Builder can be used by researchers to build their own highly specialized graphical user interfaces to run their Origin C routines. It also provides utilities and extensive documentation for building custom analysis applications based on Origin. The Dialog Builder feature greatly simplifies the process of creating sophisticated dialog boxes and wizards.
