Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 8 SR6
Operating System: Windows 2000

I get some strange, bug using this VI. I will write you procedure how to reproduce it.
1. Start Origin and create new/raname the default Workbook to "Data1" with Worksheet "Sheet1"
2. Start "SetWorksheet002.vi"
3. In (Row,Column) (1,1) write some number (for example 1) //writing and reading is ok
4. In (1,2) write 2 //writing and reading is ok
5. In (2,1) write 3 //writing is ok, but reading NOT
6. If you make the 2D Array bigger (write a number in (6,4) the it starts working again (most times))
Meanwhile I tried with other methods in "SetWorksheet003.vi" and got the same error. Links to the files:

Hi Asen,

I've sent you an email to suggest a workaround for you since Origin 8.1SR2 hasn't been released. Please see whether you've received it.

To upgrade to Origin 8.1, you just need to pay a little money and will benefit a lot from new added powerful features. The following is about the top ten new features

http://www.originlab.com/index.aspx?s=8&lm=218&PID=1561

If you have interest with Origin 8.1, you can download a demo version through

http://www.originlab.com/index.aspx?s=12&lm=62

Best regards,

Hi Sophy,
many thanks for your reply. Do you mean Version 8.1 SR2? I have here "Origin Pro 8.0.63.988 SR6 v8.0988". Do I need to pay something to get the newest version?

Hi, Asen:

Thanks for reporting this problem.

There is a bug in the COM interface Worksheeet::GetData when auto detecting the column range( when use -1 as the upper bound of column selection).

We've trackered it as #15024 and the problem should be fixed with 81SR2 release.

I can not edit the my topic although I am the poster of it. I get this error

"Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'

Type mismatch: 'rs'

/forum/post.asp, line 663 "

with Firefox 3.5.7. Strange is that I can edit all the post from my second one on. (just for info to the admins)

Just wanted to add that the files can be downloaded only 10 times, so if you need them I can email them to you.

Asen
