We r going to buy Origin in our laboratary but we can't choose what version. I mean Origin or Origin Pro. I tried to find the difference between this two products in the description on the official site of company but it's too poor. Maybe somebody can tell me the difference? What product is better to buy?
Thank u

Posted - 12/28/2011 : 2:15:49 PM Hi Anna-Sherry,
Essentially the characterization of OriginPro is Origin PLUS advanced analysis & statistics. These extra features include some signal processing (e.g., STFT, Wavelet, 2D FFT), peak fitting in the Peak Analyzer, some advanced statistics like non-parametric tests and multivariate statistics (PCA, cluster analysis, repeated-measured ANOVAetc),and image processing.
You can notice "Pro" indication in the following page: - http://www.originlab.com/index.aspx?go=Products/Origin&pid=1029 - http://www.originlab.com/pdfs/FeatureList86.pdf
So, what I suggest is that you check whether some important analysis features FOR YOU and YOUR LAB are included only in Pro, or not. Then, you can try the free-downloadable evaluation (demo) version to see if the pro or non-Pro really contains what you REALLY need.(You can select Pro or non-Pro when you install the evaluation version.):

Also, if you talk to the Origin distributor in your country, I'm sure they can give you good information about Origin. http://www.originlab.com/index.aspx?go=COMPANY/Distributors
