Operating System: Windows 7

Hello,
i have a problem with the positioning of error bars in bar diagrammes and haven't found a solution in this forum. Everything looks normal when we use a linear x axis. like shown in this picture:

http://www.bilder-space.de/bilder/01c69a-1327161051.jpg

but when we switch to a log2-based x-axis the error bars aren't attaced to the bars anymore and not in the middle of them. like shown in this picture:

i hope you can help us by showing how to position the error bars in the middle of the bars.

thank you for helping!

best regards,
Michael Altwin

Dear Michael Altwin,

Yes, it's a bug of error bars on a Bar/Column graph when the axis is
in a Log scale, though it the Scatter/Line plot type works okay. I will
request our developers to fix it in the next version.

Meanwhile, as a work-around, you can do the following (Example shown in the screenshot):

1) Make the column plot with no error bars (Graph1).
2) Make individual Column+Error Bar plots (Graph2 and Graph3). Hide the columns
to show only error bars. Change all scales equal to Graph1.
3) Merge all graphs to a single graph in 1x1 arrangement ("Graph: Merge Graph
  Windows" menu)
4) Hide axes and tick labels of the error bar layers (layer2 and layer3).
5) Shift the X position of the error bar layer to match the corresponding
plot column. (You can select the layer frame, and press the left/right arrow
  key to nudge.)

Sorry for the inconvenience.
