It is too bad that ORIGIN is not quite WYSIWYG for the gradient fill plot graph export to pdf ... |

Posted - 02/29/2012 : 2:45:25 PM The problem appears to be related to gradient fills of dataplots. You can get a similar graph which should export OK by: Removing the TemppressureH_X2 and TemppressureH_R plots from the graph. Select Format : Layer Properties On the Background tab, set Color as Custom (Red=168,Green=122,Blue=254) Select Mode of 'Two Colors' Change second Color to Custom (Red=255,Green=192,Blue=130) Set Direction to Vertical Center In

Posted - 02/29/2012 : 2:17:19 PM Hi millot.marius,
I have succeeded to reproduce the problem of PDF export, but it worked OK with both BMP and PNG. Not sure why you had the problem for the later two formats.
Also, if I used a PDF printer (e.g. Bullzip printer), I could get a good result as well. As a work-around for now, could you please try this method, and let me know the result?
Meanwhile, I will ask our developers to look at the issue.

Posted - 02/29/2012 : 10:27:16 AM Hi millot.marius,
Here, we have tried to export graphs with gradation to PDF files, but we couldn't reproduce the problem.
Could you please send your Origin file to us so that we can check your graph itself? (http://www.originlab.com/index.aspx?go=Support&pid=752)
By the way, I suppose that you made the PDF by exporting graph with "File: Export Graphs" menu, not by using the PDF printer driver ("File: Print" menu), right? If so, could you please try exporting by using the system default in the export dialog box? If in the later case, how about the result of "File: Graph Export" menu? (or vice versa)
Thank you.
