Hello,
I have some xyz data that describes surface profiles of some fairly flat plates. However, it wasn't possible to get the plates completely level when recording the data, so the data looks like this:
I need to do baseline correction so that I can compare the data sets, but I don't see any built-in function to do that. Am I missing something, or do I need to program it in myself? If so, any suggestions on getting started? Or another software that might be able to do baseline correction? Thank you.
I'm using OriginPro 8.5 SR1 on Windows 7. |

You can try a Surface Fit of your data using the Plane function or possibly the Poly2D or Polymnomial2D functions.
Be sure to choose the "Same as Input Data" options for X Data Type and Y Data Type in the "Fitted Curves" Plot options.
After you are done, the fit matrix would be the 'baseline' and the residual matrix contains your data minus the 'baseline". |
