Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):8.5.1 SR 2 Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit

After placing marks using peak analyzer I am unable to remove them using the clear data markers functions under the data tab. I tried selecting a marker and then going to the data tab but the option to clear data markers is always faded. Would someone please tell me how to use this as there is nothing in Origin Help that I can find about this?

I know Peak Analyzer has a modify/delete button but I need to be able to use "clear data markers" after I have closed out of peak analyzer.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks, Hideo. I was not referring to analysis markers before but fortunately, I figured out how to remove the marks. Thanks for your help though!

Hi ON,

Maybe you are talking the Analysis Markers instead of Data Markers. AM is a short two-end arrow, which indicates the range which you HAVE DONE an analysis. DM is a scale-long vertical line (in default), which indicates the range you ARE GOING to do an analysis.

AM can be hidden by "Data: Analysis Markers: Hide" menu, or can be deleted by canceling the analysis itself by left-clicking the lock icon at the top left corner of the graph, and choosing "Delete" flyout. A pair of DM can be removed by "Data: Reset to Full Range" menu for a specific selected pair, or "Data: Clear Data Markers" menu to remove all pairs of DMs.

In addition to AMs and DMs, after finding peaks by Peak Analyzer, the peaks positions are marked by short sticks. These are created as a scatter plot from the Peak Centers worksheet.

Hope this explanation makes sense.
