Hello everyone,
I need your help as I have to hand in my Bachelor thesis tomorrow (!) but have to change the Y-axis in a diagram. I'd like to have the following scaling: from 1E+4 till 5E+6. But then I need different scalings of this one Y-axis. I need the following intervals shown on the axis: 1E+4, 5E+4, 1E+5, 5E+5, 1E+6, 5E+6. So the interval increases.
But how can I do that? I'm using OriginPro 8.5.1G.
I would be so happy about your help!

In addition, you might want to customize your tick labels to make sure it shows 1E+4 .etc rather than 10000, to do this, you could refer to the following online help file to use a user-defined dataset as your tick labels:

Hi,
If I understand correctly, you may use tick location from a dataset. The dataset would then be 1E+4, 5E+4, 1E+5, 5E+5, 1E+6, 5E+6.
To do this, you should:
1. create a new column in your original worksheet and put the values 1E+4, 5E+4, 1E+5, 5E+5, 1E+6, 5E+6 in it.
2. double click on your Y axis to bring up the axis dialog, and in the "Scales" tab, you will see check boxes under the option "tick location", there you check the "major ticks from dataset" and in the drop-down menu, choose the column which you have your tick location value.
