I recently switched to Windows 7 and I can no longer access Origin graphs embedded in word or power point files. This was not an issue before switching computers and getting the new os. I should also mention that I can open origin files just fine, but the icon associated with them in windows explorer is no longer the one common for origin files. Could this mean there is some confusion about what type of files these are?
Thanks for taking time to respond.

Posted - 08/09/2012 : 10:40:16 PM As I said before, Origin 7.0 is not supported in Windows 7 system, see the page below: http://www.originlab.com/index.aspx?go=SUPPORT&pid=1862
Your student's case is rather a rare one, to get the full functionality of Origin, you need to upgrade to a compatible version.

Posted - 08/09/2012 : 11:55:40 AM I understand I am using an older version of Origin, but one of my students is successfully using this version with windows 7. any settings I can check between my student's computer and mine, to make this work?
Thanks.
