Operating System:

I am trying to fit the phonon confinement model for Micro-Raman spectra obtained for a laser irradiated silicon. But I am getting the following message.

"Fit may have converged, because it cannot find direction to change parameters to reduce Chi-square". I am using Origin 8.6. Please help.

Hi,

You can look at the help file section that lists such messages and what they mean:
http://originlab.com/www/helponline/Origin/en/UserGuide/Fit_Status_Code_in_NLFits_Fit_Result.html

If you need further help, best to send your OPJ and your custom fitting function to tech support, use the "Send file to tech support" link on the top of this page.
