The feature Analysis:Average Multiple Curves is designed to average all datasets in the current active layer. In order to restrict it to your two linear fit datasets, you must plot them together in a new layer or graph window and then perform the average. If you are not sure how to do this, I would suggest trying the following:
- Double-click on one of the linear fit lines to bring up its Plot Details.
- Click the Worksheet button to bring up its worksheet.
- Select the Y column which contains the linear fit data and then select Plot:Line.
- Return to the original graph and double-click on the other linear fit line and bring up its worksheet.
- Select the Y column, but this time do NOT select Plot:Line. Instead, return to the graph window which contains the first linear fit line only and select Graph:Add Plot to Layer:Line. This will add your second fit line to the graph.
- Perform the average.
