When viewing an Excel workbook in Origin 6.0, how do I get the Origin menu bar to appear instead of the Excel menu bar? I need to access functions under the "Analyse" menu.

The only reason I wanted to use Excel was that my workbook has approximately twenty sheets. Is there any way of converting all of them to Origin worksheets in one shot?

Yes. After you select your Excel file from the Open dialog box, the Open Excel dialog box opens. First you need to select the "Open as Origin Worksheet(s)" radio button. Then highlight the Excel sheets that you want to convert to Origin worksheets in the Worksheets list box. You can SHIFT+click or CTRL+click to select multiple sheets. Click OK and Origin opens the selected sheets as worksheets.

You have two options. You can open your Excel workbook as an Origin worksheet (select the 'Open as Origin Worksheet' radio button in the Open Excel dialog box). Alternatively, you can copy the data from your Excel workbook into an Origin worksheet. Either way, you'll have access to the Origin Analysis menu.

I need to do a frequency count on a single column in the spreadsheet. How would I do this when I am looking at the graph?

To access Origin's Analysis menu, you need to plot your Excel workbook data into an Origin graph template. When the graph is active, you'll have full access to the Analysis menu.
