Since we use Linux as our base system we preferably use postscript format to export our plots. However if you have altered the plotrange prior to exporting, the eps file shows the complete range of the data even right through the axis. Is there a known patch or anything that could overcome this problem? |

If your concerned exclusively with an X Axis range, then you can set the display range for all datasets in the layer to match the X Axis range (using the Data Selector Tool and the Data : Set Display Range menu option). Then Origin hides the extraneous data (so the ImageStream export library never sees it) rather than use clipping (which the ImageStream export library apparently doesn't handle well in PostScript).

You do not specify which version of Origin you are using but I would guess it is Origin 6.0. There were a number of problems with the EPS export routine in this particular release. The routine was created by a third party. We have since rewritten the Export routine ourselves and this new version is available in Origin version 6.1. There is a moderate cost to this upgrade, which can be obtained from your regional OriginLab distributor. There is a list available at:

If you feel that you do not need the additional features available in the 6.1 version of Origin it is also possible to use our Graphics Export on-line.
