I want to plot a bargraph with a single data plot of 50 data points in which the bars are overlapping by 30% to each other. What I am trying to represent is the variation of properties throughout a pepscan of 15-mer peptides whose sequence overlaps 5 aminoacids. Does anybody know what to do? |

All you need to do is double click on one of the bars in the bar graph. The Plot details dialog box will open and there will be two tabs. Select the Spacing tab. There is a drop down list to select Gap Between Bars (In %) Do not use the drop down list. Instead highlight the default value of 20 and replace it with -30. Then select O.K. You should now see the overlap of the bars. NOTE: The interface is not equipt to display negative values so when you go back to this dialog box, you will always see the value 0 displayed. You might also need to increase the value beyond -30% to display a true 30% overlap. |
