Currently Origin uses full data set (column) for fitting...It's not good if I have few separated peaks in big data set (like diffractogramms), so I have to cut peak region and paste as new worksheet...Will it be possible directly set the data fit limits in future ? The follow are suggested:
1) checkbox for data limits (if not - whole data set is used);
2) checkbox for whole worksheet (if is not set - data limits are applied just to used column)

regards,

leComt

Hi delano,

The ability to select a region over which to fit a function already exists in Origin. You can do this manually using the 'Data Selector ' tool (Two opposing arrows) or in a script with the variables MKS1, MKS2. When using the 'Data Selector' tool two lines will appear on the dataset which is currently active, the one you want to fit, and you can move the arrows along the dataset to the desired location before attempting to fit a curve.

Hope this helps,
Craig
