So far we have only two members and both web sites feature mostly LabTalk scripts and Origin add-ons. Anyone having a site with similar content is certainly invited to join, but there are other aspects of Origin that need to be represented. For example, Origin has more graphing features than one person can master and we can often learn better ways to present the results of our labors from other people s examples. It can also be fun to show off those results to a wider audience than bosses, coworkers or professors. Curve fitting is another example - you may have the fitting function that someone needs. br / p Two points are not enough to define a ring and we urge you to help define ours by a href= http://edit.webring.yahoo.com/cgi-bin/membercgi?ring=originwebring&addsite target= _blank joining now /a . If you don t have a site already there are plenty of hosts that offer free web space... a href= http://geocities.yahoo.com/ target= _blank http://geocities.yahoo.com/ /a Yahoo!" target="_blank"> img src= http://members.home.net/mbuess3/origin_webring2.gif align=right border= 0 hspace= 10 vspace= 10 alt= Origin WebRing navigation bar < recruit> p The Origin WebRing was formed five months ago as a venue for sharing tips and resources. Other than the usual caveats on porn and other tasteless material we are not concerned about what else is on your site as long as it contains something related to Origin. There are no membership rules and after I've sent you instructions for installing the navigation bar shown above --which you are not required to display on your site-- you may never hear from me again.

OriginLab is not a member of our ring, although it has provided encouragement and support. However, barring an OriginLab policy against it I see no reason why those on its staff should not have member sites of their own. I'm sure there is a lot in that pool that has does not appear in OriginLab's Knowledge Base or Graph Gallery. Finally, OriginLab's Customer Profile lists a large number of corporations, government agencies and academic institutions who are also invited to share their Origin know-how.

Here's a brief update. Yahoo! recently stopped supporting the Webrings and they are now being managed by a former Yahoo! employee. The Origin WebRing has migrated over to the new structure and you can reach our hub with the link in my signature.
