hi,
i am doing the multiple peak fitting to fit 4 or 5 or 6 peaks in my graph using peak analyzer in origin pro 8, and my question is when i subtract the base line in the origin, the height of the peak is less than 1, (normalized to 0,1) before fitting. i am talking about fitting my raman data, and right after taking the raman data i already did the automatic baseline correction. this data i am using to plot in origin, and origin also dose the base line subtraction, and looks like the base line subtraction is done twice. i am not sure we can do this, or its like this.
in this case how do i made the conclusion that the fitting and its results are good.?

Hi,

Basically I don't think you should subtract baseline twice. In Peak Analyzer of Origin, you could actually turn off the baseline subtraction by choosing None as the Baseline Mode, at least to ensure the baseline correction will not be done twice.

In case to help you conclude whether the fitting results are good, it would be better if we can investigate on your sample data. You could save the original data(preferably both with and without automatic baseline correction) and your analysis results together in an Origin project file and send this file to us following the instructions after you click the Send File to Tech Support button on the upper-right corner of the forum page.
