Hi, do you have any idea how to make this graph better? Maybe there are some special tools in Origin to make it smoother and I don't know about them or only fitting will help?
I'll be very grateful for your help!
I add a screen of graph and file in origin: http://www.sendspace.com/file/rvsn1t

Posted - 11/21/2012 : 12:18:02 PM Hi jeanett,
I have played around a bit with your data. Not sure it is sufficient and satisfactory, you can just take this as a hint.
1) Because a spike around X=0 at the lower curve goes horizontally, first I switched your B as to X, and A as to Y.
2) To remove this spike, I applied the Smooth:Percentile Filter (with Points of Window = 2, and Percentile = 50)
3) Since there is a zigzag to switch one track to the other, I have masked two points: #217(-24785.5, 9.54E-4) and #432(at 24087.2 , -0.0011).
4) To make the curve smoother, I have applied Smooth:Adjacent-Averaging (with Points of Window = 5).
See the result in the screenshot below. The spike was removed by 2), and the curve is smoother by 4). However, 4) caused the shape of the terminal shortened. I couldn't avoid this artifact. You may need to do a patchwork with the original data for the terminal area.
